First Capital REIT (“First Capital”) would like to alert the public of a telephone scam where the caller is posing as First Capital staff attempting to solicit sensitive personal information.
We have received reports that an unaffiliated party has been making telephone calls falsely using our name and attempting to deceive victims into providing their personal information.
If you have any concerns about a recent suspicious telephone call you have had with a caller claiming to be a representative of First Capital, please do not hesitate to contact us.
If you believe you are a victim of voice phishing attacks or any other form of fraudulent attack, we would urge you to contact the local police and/or report the incident to the Canadian Anti-Fraud Centre.
