Ms. Walkau joined the company in 2019 as SVP Brand & Culture. She is responsible for overseeing people and culture, internal communications, and marketing for the REIT. Ms. Walkau was the co-founder and is the executive sponsor of the REIT’s charitable foundation. With 25 years of commercial real estate industry experience, Ms. Walkau was previously the SVP Corporate Resources and Building Excellence at GWL Realty Advisors, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Great-West Life, and her role included HR, communications, sustainability, and innovation. Prior to GWL Realty Advisors, Ms. Walkau led organizational development and internal communications at Brookfield.
